What condition does my gear need to be in?

It needs to be safe to use and accurately described. Base scratches, edge wear and scuffed topsheets are normal on used skis and boards and do not stop an item selling. Delamination, cracked edges or a failed binding check should be disclosed in the listing.

How do I ship skis or a snowboard?

You get a prepaid label once the item sells. Skis and boards ship as oversize parcels, which is already handled in the label. Bind the tips and tails, wrap the edges, and use a ski bag or a long cardboard box.

Payment is released after the buyer confirms delivery. The buyer's money is held by buycycle until then, so you are not exposed to a chargeback after shipping.

Can I sell boots and bindings on their own?

Yes. Boots, bindings, poles and skins all sell as separate listings. Splitting a setup usually earns more than selling it as one lot, though it takes longer to clear everything.

Can I sell avalanche safety equipment?

Transceivers, probes and shovels can be listed. State the transceiver's model year and firmware version, as buyers check whether it is still supported by the manufacturer.

How is the suggested price calculated?

From completed sales of comparable items on buycycle in the same category and similar age and condition. It is a starting point, not a fixed price.
