Leichtigkeit braucht Kontrolle. Die Herstellung eines leichten Fahrradrahmens ist relativ einfach, aber die Herstellung eines leichten Rahmens mit erstklassiger Leistung und Fahrqualität erfordert ein großes Vermächtnis.

Das Verticale SLR ist das beste Beispiel dafür, was Wilier ist und am besten kann: Ein Rennrad, bei dem das Gewicht gegenüber dem Wilier 0 SLR – dem vorherigen Bergaufmodell von Wilier – um fast 10% verbessert wurde (9,73 % bei dem Kit mit Rahmen, Gabel, Lenker und Sattelstütze).
