The chain retention on mountain bikes can be further optimised thanks to the Shimano XTR 12-speed chainring SM-CRM95 for FC-M9100, M9120 and M9130. It has been equipped with Dynamic Chain Engagement+ technology, a special tooth profile that makes it safer to guide the chain on the chainring even in rough terrain, which also reduces wear. As a single chainring, SM-CRM95 cannot be combined with other chainrings. It is made from plated aluminium and is attached to the crank via direct mounting.
