For sale, a lovely Colnago Super, early 1977 model with pre-CPSC Nuovo Record group, size 53.5ct/52.5cc. In its original blue metallic paint which is still in good shape, bar a few chips and some "retouches". The original decals are similarly intact including the ones on the chain stay. The Campagnolo Nuovo Record group has a matching crank set and derailleurs from 1976. The crank is mounted on a Nuovo Record bottom bracket, which is in excellent condition, repacked and running smooth. Fitted on the crank are Gipiemme Special Strada pedals, which are relatively rare, very good and light. The pre-CPSC Nuovo Record brakes and brake handles are in good shape and include the original brake pads etc. The period Ambrosio Montreal Durex wheel set sports a Campagnolo Record front hub and a rare Gipiemme Sprint rear hub. Both hubs are of excellent quality and run smooth, on straight rims. The original tubular tires from Vittoria are still in excellent condition, no cracks or whatever, and hold air/keep pressure. They can probably be ridden as is but some new glue is advisable. Mounted on the rear-hub is a smooth running, period, 5 speed Maillard freewheel. The fluted Nuovo Record seat post holds a period correct dark brown Selle San Marco Concor Supercorsa, also in good condition, although there is a small tear on the left side, probably from leaning against a wall (see picture). A near pristine Nuovo Record headset holds the cockpit, which consists of a beautiful black 3TTT Record Strada stem and an early model 3TTT Competizione handlebar, all from the late 70's. It is finished of with some nice new Velox bar tape.
