Alcide Basso, brother of former world champion Marino Basso, founded Basso Bikes in 1977, starting 3 years earlier in his parents' garage. The company is based in San Zenone degli Ezzelini, Treviso. Derailleur groups & brakes

The three market leaders Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo are used for the components of the shift groups. Among others, the Shimano Ultegra Di2, Shimano GRX800, Shimano GRX600 and the Shimano 105 are used. The Basso Diamante Disc, Basso Venta Disc or even the Diamante SV Disc are equipped with disc brakes. Basso bikes labeled Rim are equipped with rim brakes. Disc brakes have better braking power than rim brakes. Even in the rain, the braking power of disc brakes is almost identical. The braking power of the rim brakes decreases sharply there.

Saddle / Seatpost & Handlebar / Wheels
