More details

This is a lightly used Ridley X-Fire full on race machine cyclocross bike. Sweet shifting Ultegra 10 speed mechanical (48/34 chainrings with 30-12 cassette) and Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes.

Pretty much original condition (including the kind of odd use of a SRAM crankset - 175mm cranks - on the otherwise all-Ultegra build - not sure why, but that's how it came!). Original bottle holder even, plus a cool happens-to-match red colored Zipp one too.

I've recently replaced brake cables and it has a brand new chain (the one on it when I bought it was not at all worn, but I always put a new chain on a new/used bike).

I've included the Wolftooth rear mech hanger so you can put a 36 tooth rear cassette in there if you want - but it comes with the original (barely used) Ultegra 30-12 noted above. (Chain is currently correct length for 30-36, it'll do either).

Entire finishing kit is Ridley's in-house race brand "Forza", or in some places "4za"....that includes:

- carbon 42cm drop bars

- carbon 120mm stem

- carbon seat post (with bomb proof alloy seat clamp)

- color matched seat

The frame and fork are super light for the beefiness of them - this is definitely a fast cyclocross race bike - but because of the clearance, it's also an awesome Gravel Bike!

Has the original "Road Runner" wheelset, which are not the lightest (if you were racing it you'd put race wheels on it), but they are bombproof. Currently has brand new Panaracer GravelKing 35c tire on the rear, and a mid-use American Classic "Aggregate" 40c gravel tire on the front, which is how I like to ride! (I'd recommend replacing the front tire fairly soon, but it's ridable for a while yet).

The bike looks and feels like it's Near New, cos it is. The only cosmetic defects are:

- rear bottom bracket area scrubbed off the paint during a muddy ride when I had a 40c tire in there (recommend 35c for Big Mud), see picture - if I was keeping this I'd probably put a dab of paint on it, although.....removing paint from carbon frames does make them lighter! There's 2 grams for you, you're welcome.

- the drive side chainstay had some chipped paint from chain slap when I bought it - so it has a tailored piece of protector material stuck on it - both to cover up the chipped paint, and to prevent any more chain slap damage!
