More details

For sale is a like new ( 56KM! ) custom build of a Specialized Epic. The bike was built by me as a new project with great attention to detail and every part was carefully selected. What you have here is a thoroughbred race bike that weighs less than 10kg without pedals!!!! but without any lightweight frippery. All parts are tried and tested and the wheels are hand-built by a well-known wheel builder with a lot of expertise. A 1100g wheelset with 30mm internal width makes every start with this rocket a sprint.
The cockpit and drivetrain have also been deliberately modified. The Sigeyi power meter with the Raceface crank offers a very reliable and lightweight power meter. Essential for training and racing.
The shock uses the tried and tested BRAIN system from Specialized/Rock Shox. Works great at the rear. At the front, however, I rely on a 3-stage lockout of the 34 Fox Factory Step Cast fork with Kashima Coat. The 34 fork also provides significantly more stability with negligible additional weight.

When building this project, however, the wish was once again the father of the thought. Due to a lot of training on the road or gravel bike, the bike is simply not ridden and is too good not to be used...
The bike is ideal for riders from 180 - 192 and was purchased in January 2024 (based on the Epic Expert)

The bike is practically new. The mileage is verifiably genuine. As I don't get to mountain biking because of road and gravel, I'm parting with this dream bike after a short intermezzo. The photos show that the bike is as good as new.
