Rigi Corta - Capodivento 1978 road bike
RIGI is the short name for Giorgio Rinaldi, a bicycle builder and innovator who invented the "Corta" or shorter wheelbase road bike by using thinner twin tubing on the seat tube rather than a standard tube, thus allowing the rear wheel to spin between the two tubes, and so creating a shorter wheelbase for the bike. This would allow for better acceleration and reduced weight on the final bike.
