More details

Up for sale is my Crux I bought brand new from Action Sports Bakersfield in the early spring of 2023. This bike is lighter than most road bikes at 16.9lbs w/o pedals. I had it custom built from the ground up from the shop and have close to $9,000 invested. This bike is at the equivalent (component wise) to a Crux "Pro"; however, it is way better since its a mullet build. I wanted two bikes in one (Road and Gravel). So to do that, I bought the Roval Terra CL’s with DT 350 Hubs and wrapped them in Continental Terra Speed 40’s (for my gravel wheelset), and used Roval Rapide CLX Road wheels wrapped in Continental GP5000 S-TR 28’s for my road wheelset. It has a 100mm SL7 Stem with 38mm wide Prime Primavera Carbon Bars, wrapped in gray SuperCaz bar tape. The powertrain is SRAM AXS “Mullet” setup: AXS Shifters, Force AXS 40T Power Meter Crankset/ 172.5mm, SRAM Eagle AXS XO1 MTB Rear Derailleur, SRAM AXS XO1 Eagle 10-50 MTB cassette and XO1 MTB Chain. The gearing on this bike is perfect. It’ll top out at 34 MPH in the 10T, but then climb straight up a tree when in the 50T. I’m running the WTB Silverado Saddle with Ti-Rails. This is by far the most comfortable saddle I have used and it is very light. Before riding the Crux I did the full coverage custom tailored “Ride Wrap” kit in matte clear to protect the frame and fork. FYI- The majority of my riding with this bike was in “Road Mode” The bike is in excellent condition, the tires are like new and the chain was recently replaced (It should be noted I only wax my chains and one of the main benefits it reduced wear and tear to the drivetrain). The cassettes and chainring have thousands upon thousands of miles left. I will wrap the bars with new SuperCax bar tape for the new owner. The only thing worth mentioning is a very small scuff on the non-drive side and it was from my heel striking the chain stay while I was pedaling. The scuff put a small tear in the Ride Wrap and is only in the clear coat on the chainstay. If you aren't familiar with the Ride Wrap Custom Tailored kit, you can buy the small matte piece for the non drive side for probably less than $10. Overall, the Ride Wrap Kit has done a phenomenal job in keeping the bike looking almost new.
