More details

Hello cycling fans!

I'm offering my Orbea Orca Aero M20i Team Custom (Ultegra Di2), which is in top condition, for sale. Acquired in 2019 and having ridden just over 10,000 km (Strava documented), I am now riding a different bike in different terrain (especially much higher altitude), which is why I have to part with my baby, the Bestia Negra. I am 1.75 m tall with a stride length of 78.5 cm and was stuck between a size 51 or 53 when I bought it. The compact seat shape was perfect for me, especially on flat terrain, and together with the extra height (see pictures) it was perfect for an aero bike.

Two inspections the first two years at the dealer, then regular maintenance by myself (enough know-how available), brakes freshly "refueled" at the dealer at the end of 2023 and inspection without complaints, cleaning action (hand wash only, no HDR or water hose abuse) after almost every ride, few transports only in the car, no winter/salt rides, only two-three times in the rain, chain at 4.000 km and since then on the road with waxed drive (every 300-400 km hot wax bath in the slow cooker, in between quick waxing as required, considerably less wear and therefore chain still with hardly any loss of tension, everything else runs smoothly and is grippy), no falls and crashes, no scratches. One decal on the crank has a stone chip (also minimal contact with the ground once when stationary, hence mini scratches on the front), there is a barely visible spot in the paint on the fork.

When I bought the bike, I upgraded directly to an Aerycs LRS (MiG 45 made entirely in Germany, Aero light spokes, DT Swiss 350 hub), which is lighter, stiffer and cheaper than the Orbea update. Surcharge to the purchase price of a good 1000 € (purchased with 20% offer, then and now much more expensive and now heavier).

There was also the fully integrated Vision cockpit (with Garmin mount), stealth-look paintwork and, as a nice detail, a "SHUT UP LEGS!" slogan on the top tube (custom option).

To read in, here's a link to the test on the innovations (especially aero optimizations as part of the dropped 3:1 rule etc.) of the racer (there with Dura Ace Di2 instead of Ultegra Di2 and Vision LRS), otherwise the same and even very similar in terms of paint.

https://velomotion.de/2019/04/test-orbea-orca-aero-disc-31-aero-rennrad/

Pictures show the update LRS: 500 € discount with the original Fulcrum Racing 400 DB-LRS (stored in the basement, not ridden a meter - pictures to follow), then the reduced purchase price of 4798,- from the purchase is also correct.

Pedals and lights are not part of the offer, cup holder if necessary, Fidlock also available, charger is of course included. Some small stuff is also still available: Brake pads, fresh coat, tubes. The plug on the stem for the unsightly silver screw is still being organized (ran off unnoticed during cleaning...).

With pedals (105) and cup holder pretty much exactly 8 kg (weighed by myself). Optimization with Aerothan tubes (or similar) still easily possible by 100 g rotating mass. The newer models have fully integrated cables and are marginally lighter, but the "box transport frames" no longer look good...

You can find all the information here from page 32, and the specs for the specific model on page 42:
https://www.orbea.com/content/EN-AF_catalogo_2019_EN_d.pdf

Crank: 172.5, compact 50/34, 11-28

All information is honest and to the best of my knowledge. Hopefully there will be someone who appreciates the bike as much as I do. Friendly inquiries will be answered with pleasure, three-word messages/similar nonsense will be ignored with a grin. Negotiations to a certain extent are possible, preferably on site (with interested parties from the region) if you can see 100% of what you are getting.

Best regards

Chris
