More details

For sale is a rare 1957 Cinelli mod. B that has been completely restored.

Size is 56cm

Typical for this generation Cinelli are the "wolf ear" lugs and the flat fork crown. The steel frame was in good condition with no rust visible and no dents or bent tubing. The frame has had the fender eyelets removed and the brake bridge has been changed at some point in time.

The frame and fork received fresh chrome plating before the professional paint in the beautiful red colour. High quality decals have been applied . Worth noting is the excellent conditon Cinelli headbadge that had been fastened using custom made brass flat head bolts onto the head tube.

The headset is the Cinelli steel set that is quite rare. The parts are period correct Campagnolo Gran Sport bronze rear derailleur, push-rod front derailleur and clamp mount "open C" Campagnolo shifters on the down tube, correct for the 1950s vintage. The wheels have been newly laced using early three piece (steel body with aluminum flanges) Campagnolo Gran Sport hubs and period correct Nisi Moncalieri aluminum rims. The new Continental Giro tubulars are not glued, but I can take care of this if the future owner decides to do so.

The saddle is a vintage Ideale Diagonale "Rodee main selon Rebour" engraved on the leather top of the line saddle with chromed steel rails. The 3T Grand Prix stem and handlebar are aluminium that has been polished to mirror shine. The bars have been wrapped in natural leather bar tape in brown colour.

The hoods are new Universal brake hoods installed on Balilla brake levers. The chain is a new old stock Everest "Oro" (gold) chain with lightened links .

The crank set is a steel cottered pin three arm Stronglight with Simplex chain rings that has been freshly chromed.

This bicycle is a museum quality restoration that can be ridden anytime at L'Eroica events.
