More details

Up for sale is a 2019 Felt FR1 (built up new in 2019. The ad says 2017, but that is the first production year of this frame and a preformatted title from Buycycle--- this is a 2019 bike!).

I am the original owner of this bike (purchased from Piermont Bikes in NY). I'll say this differently because a few have asked-- nobody but me has ever owned or ridden this bike. I purchased it as a brand new frame from an authorized Felt dealer. I had a professional mechanic build it up in 2019. Therefore, only one single human has ever had sole possesion of this bike-- me and only me! I hope this makes it clear on ownership.

This was Felt's top end road racing offering before shifting all it's models over to disc brakes. Here are the stats:

-Frame: Size 56, all carbon including the drop-outs. Easily takes 28mm rubber. Frame is made with TeXtreme woven carbon, which gives it a distinctive checkerboard look when the sun hits the black portions of the bike.

-Groupset: Sram eTap 11 speed, Sram Red chain and Sram Red carbon crankset (172.5 with 52/36 chainrings, 11-28 Sram 1170 cassette; chain is freshly cleaned and is offered up dry with no lube)

-Wheels: Zipp Firecrest 303s (not tubeless), full bearing service last summer at authorized Zipp dealer. Brand new Pirelli zero tires 700x28, zero miles

-Cockpit: FSA team issue carbon bars, 40cm center-to-center (bartape has some life left in it but could use a refresh); stem is Fizik Cyrano R1 at 120mm. Freshly installed top and bottom headset bearings.

-Saddle: Fizik Antares R1 Versus Evo w/carbon rails mounted on a Fizik Cyrano R1 carbon seatpost

-Bottom Bracket: BB386 with Token Ninja BB and freshly pressed-in ceramic bearings (the Token BB has proven to be a reliable, silent solution to pressfit BBs)

-Brakes: Sram Red upfront and a Cane Creek eeBrake under the BB (the lightest and strongest brake for this type of configuration). Swissstop Black Prince pads with plenty of life left in them.

-Weight: 15.7 pounds as seen in the photos. Throw some lightweight wheels/tires on there, lighter pedals, and a lightweight bar and stem combo and you could easily get this to 15 lbs or below.

The only visual flaw on the bike is some visiable chain rash around the driveside BB area (captured in pic)-- these are typical surface level paint scrapes down to the carbon from a few dropped chains along the way. This is a great all-around bike but really excells on hilly/punchy climbs. This bike as been raced but never crashed or abused in any way. I hate to sell it really, but I've reached my wife's limit of bikes taking up space in the garage and basement.
