I built this frame in late April 2024 but the geometry of the frame is not for me anyway. This is a full carbon cc Tallboy frame from 2018. The CC variant is the extra light and strong model from the Santa Cruz line. The carbon frame feels nice and stiff and responsive and with every kick of power you feel the acceleration right away. The bike is built with 120mm of travel in front via a marzocchi bomber z2 and 110mm in the rear via the fox float DPS performance. The bomber is a stiff fork with thick stanchions so this bike will not scare easily when the going gets rough. What is nice for the Netherlands is how the suspension is built into the frame. The new Santa Cruz tallboy models have the shock above the bottom bracket. This makes the suspension smoother, but the new models also have less pedal efficiency! Therefore, this "older" frame is very nice in the much pedal work we have in the flat Netherlands. This Tallboy has enormous braking power due to the 203 mm front and 180 mm rear large brake discs operated by 4-pot Shimano Deore XT brakes. It really doesn't matter where you ride. You can always stop and thus biking safely on this Tallboy. If after reading my ad you got interested and/or questions, I would love to hear from you!
