A rare Berma Professional "Aero" time-trial bicycle, Size 52 CT / 51 CC. The frame-set is made of Columbus Air tubing, from the mid-80s, in its original beautiful metallic red, with original decals. The frame has a few small scratches and spots, but no dents, and is in great shape for its age. The rare tubing is teardrop-shaped, with a matching fork, and has numerous Berma pantographs. A matching cock-pit made up of a 3TTT Record stem and a rare 3TTT Aero time-trial handlebar from the mid-80s, also teardrop shaped. A Campagnolo Chorus seat-post holds and early example of the famous Selle Italia Flite Titanium. The gearing and drive-train are 1st generation Campagnolo Chorus, while the brakes, levers and hubs are 1st generation Campagnolo Athena, all of which are in fine working order. A set of Cambio Rino Elegant pedals are added, with new leather straps, again in fine working order. The FIR wheel-set has been overhauled and runs smooth. However, the rear wheel is not completely true as it is left in its original time-trial set-up, with its spokes being wrapped and soldered for added rigidity (the wheel can be trued but then you'd need to re-wrap and re-solder to keep its originality; original wrapping wire can be bought from "Cycles Fun Passion") A new chain and Miche 7 speed cassette, as well as new cables and bar-tape complete this one of kind vintage aero-/time-trial bike. An early Campagnolo 8 speed cassette is added free of charge, as this Athena rear-hub can take both 7 and 8 speed cassettes.
