De Kona Libre is een alleskunner. De gravelbike is geschikt om over verharde wegen te rijden maar ook om langere meerdaagse tochten mee te fietsen. De gravelbike heeft oneindig veel bevestigingspunten voor dragers, tassen, spatborden bidonhouders en voor alles wat je verder nodig hebt voor een lange fietstocht. Bovendien beschikt de Kona Libre over een aluminium frame met carbon voorvork om het gewicht laag te houden. De comfortabele geometrie is gericht op het rijden van vele kilometers. De Kona Libre heeft een degelijke 1x11 Sram Apex groepset en maakt het schakelen makkelijk door te schakelen met een enkele shifter. De fiets is voorzien van hydraulische schijfremmen, maar door de mechanische bediening makkelijk te onderhouden en te repareren als je onderweg bent. De Libre beschikt over Maxxis Rambler Silkshield banden. Deze banden zorgen voor het veel comfort en grip, waardoor je over alle soort ondergronden kunt rijden.
