La nuova S5 ha ridotto la resistenza aerodinamica di 65 grammi e ha aumentato la superficie del telaio, pur riducendo il peso complessivo. Le sezioni del telaio più pronunciate massimizzano le forme consentite dall'UCI. L'iconico attacco a V è stato ulteriormente perfezionato e la nuova forcella è stata progettata per semplificare l'intero avantreno.

Inoltre, un nuovo e rivoluzionario concetto di design delle ruote è stato sviluppato in collaborazione con Reserve per aumentare la stabilità e ridurre la resistenza aerodinamica in condizioni di turbolenza.

"V" COME VELOCITÀ

Alla ricerca della velocità, tutti vogliono provare diverse posizioni per trovare l'assetto più aggressivo. L'iconico attacco a V della S5 non solo ispira una maneggevolezza sicura alle alte velocità, ma ora è anche straordinariamente semplice trovare l'assetto perfetto. Tutti i distanziali necessari vengono forniti con la bicicletta e ora c'è una sola lunghezza delle viti di fissaggio, riducendo così la complessità di montaggio e rendendo il sistema più leggero di ben 53 grammi.

TELAIO MIGLIORATO

Le nuove norme UCI in materia di design aerodinamico hanno permesso di avere più spazio per approfondire i profili aerodinamici e spremere 65 grammi in più di resistenza aerodinamica da quella che è già la bicicletta aerodinamica più veloce sul mercato. Noterete un tubo sterzo e un'area BB con profilo maggiorato e una sagomatura più aggressiva sui bordi esterni dei tubi.

TIRE CLEARANCE

Ruote e pneumatici più larghi risultano essere più veloci dal punto di vista aerodinamico e per giunta più confortevoli. La nuova S5 ha spazio per pneumatici fino a 34 mm (misurati) ed è ottimizzata per le nuove ruote Reserve che sono più larghe ed equipaggiate con pneumatici da 28 mm. Queste ruote, sviluppate nell'ambito dei protocolli Turbulent Aero, consentono di risparmiare poco più di 5 watt rispetto il wheelset Reserve precedente.

MANUBRIO RAFFINATO

Cervélo ha migliorato il comfort del manubrio e ne abbiamo modificato la forma per ottenere una migliore transizione tra la parte piatta e quella bassa. Al posto degli spessori presenti sul precedente manubrio dell’S5 ha utilizzato una nuova interfaccia a due viti di fissaggio che consente una migliore regolazione dell'inclinazione tra 0 e 5 gradi.
