Here is an excerpt from a test report at the end of 2001:
"The Fleche model from Focus is a very good bike for ambitious intermediate and advanced riders. Very well equipped with the complete Campagnolo Daytona groupset with triple chainring - I'm not Heras, Jiminez or Ulrich after all. Thanks to the S-bend rear triangle, the bike accelerates extremely well and is especially recommended for heavier or very powerful riders. Another treat is the carbon fork with aluminum steerer tube that comes as standard. The handling is also suitable for beginners. The workmanship is very good and the price/performance ratio of DM 3500 is acceptable. The weight with Look pedals is under 10 kg. For ambitious riders I can only recommend the Focus Fleche, just try it out. Of course, it is also very suitable as a beginner's bike, but because of the price you should be sure that you will remain loyal to cycling."
