The Speedster is available in several variants and frame sizes. You have quite a few endurance and gravel models to choose from. The bikes are from frame size XS to XXL in the range of Scott which corresponds to 47 to 61 centimeters.
The new Speedster features an even lighter frame and comes with a chic look. The Speedster Disc 6061 D.Butted Alloy frame with endurance geometry has internal cable routing and is Syncros Fender Kit ready. The Speedster HMF Disc, 1 1/4"-1 1/2" Eccentric Carbon Steerer fork is noticeable in the overall weight. It dampens minor bumps and offers a balanced ride.
For less drag you get improved aerodynamics to make better progress. The high stiffness also contributes to the good performance and the bike offers enough comfort for long trips. For example, there is the Scott Speedster 10, Scott Speedster 25 or Scott Speedster 50, along with other models.
The Speedster Gravel is also available in several versions. There are, among other things, the Scott Speedster Gravel 20, Scott Speedster Gravel 30 as well as the Scott Speedster Gravel 40 EQ. Here you get the Speedster Gravel HMF Flatmount Disc 1 1/4"-1 1/2" Eccentric Carbon Steerer fork in the package. It is even better suited to absorb the bumps on the track.
When paired with the Speedster Gravel Disc frame, you get a versatile bike for gravel trails. The frame geometry is made for use off the beaten track and allows for great versatility. The Speedster Gravel is equipped to make your adventures comfortable and fast at the same time.
History
The beginnings of Scott go back to the 60s in skiing. About motorsports succeeded a little later the entry into the bicycle industry. With the aero handlebars they brought out a product that is now indispensable. Shortly thereafter Scott developed the Unishock suspension and for more than 10 years there are the Twin-Loc levers. With these you can adjust the suspension travel on the mountain bike without having to get off the bike.
To keep up with modernization Scott was one of the first companies to launch fancy e-bikes. This was done in close collaboration with Bosch who have an excellent reputation worldwide in several areas.

The Speedster bikes have a more than suitable equipment for their areas of use
Scott has put emphasis on the gravel as well as endurance variant to ensure you get the best components. Each price range for itself is equipped to the maximum. Therefore the Speedster bikes are popular with hobby and professional riders.
Scott uses the components of a number of well-known manufacturers. For the gears & brakes they rely on the products of Shimano and for the cockpit mostly on Syncros components. For the wheelset they use a combination of several manufacturers such as Syncros or Formula. Schwalbe is the preferred choice when it comes to tires.
Gear groups
- For the shifter, rear derailleur and front derailleur the Shimano 105 is used on endurance road bikes. For the shifter the Shimano ST-R7020 Dual Control 22-Speed is used among others. In addition Scott takes at the crankset and bottom bracket the products of Praxis Cycles or Shimano as well.
- Furthermore the Shimano GRX series is installed in the Gravel version. The Shimano GRX ST-RX600 Disc 22-speed shifter and the Shimano GRX FD-RX810-F front derailleur are a good pair. To complete the shifting group it needs the Shimano GRX RD-RX810 22-speed rear derailleur. The crankset of the gravel variants can be the Shimano GRX FC-RX600-11 or Praxis Alba. For the cassette they rely again on Shimano such as the Shimano CS-HG700 with KMC X11 chain.
Brakes
- Brake discs offer better braking performance and you have 20 percent less effort when braking. Especially on longer routes you notice the pleasant braking performance which can be dosed precisely. Scott relies on the Shimano BR-R7070 hyd disc disc brakes. Even in muddy or wet conditions you can count on the power of the disc brakes. Their braking power is only slightly reduced in those circumstances.
Saddle
- For the saddle Scott uses the Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5 which is an affordable saddle that fits most riders. The good price is due to the CrMo frame and the saddle width reduces pressure points. You have an upright riding position so you sit comfortably on the bike even on long rides. You can use it for endurance and gravel equally. The microfibers prevent the saddle from soaking in the wet and provide a good grip for several materials.
Seatpost
- Also for the seatpost you will find a product from Syncros, with the Syncros RR2.5 27.2 / 300 mm.
Handlebar & Stem
- To round off the cockpit Scott also depends here on the quality of Syncros as well. The Syncros Creston 2.0 Compact handlebar is fixed to the Syncros RR2.5 1 1/4" / Four Bolt 31.8 mm stem. For the headset, the Acros AIF-1133 is used. The Speedster Gravel comes with the Syncros Creston 2.0 X handlebar.
Wheels
- A wheelset is made of several parts. The wheels consist of spokes, rims and hubs. For the rims of the endurance bikes the Syncros Race 24 Disc are used. These are equipped with the SHA-DAR Black 2mm spokes and Formula Team II CL Disc 28 H hubs. For the gravel version the Syncros Race X25 Disc Rims are used.
Tires
- With the Schwalbe Lugano you'll cover long distances with ease. You get a budget-friendly tire with a reinforced casing that guarantees durability. You can use it for training as well as in competition.
- Schwalbe G-One Allround 700x35C is a good choice for gravel bikes. Another good gravel tire is the Schwalbe G-ONE Bite Performance. It gives you a good feel on the road and provides plenty of grip for off-road touring.
Additional equipment
- A water bottle cage including a water bottle is just as good for the road bike as for the gravel version. For endurance pedals with proper shoes are suitable while you can carry more luggage when bikepacking. You can attach mudguards, bike bags and lights. For longer tours it is worthwhile to take some tools and possibly a spare tube.

How do I know if an endurance or gravel bike is best for me
If you use your bike mostly for extensive touring on the road an Endurance road bike is a good choice for you. If you ride often on trails off the paved roads a gravel bike is the better choice. Scott offers additionally road bikes in the lightweight and aero categories.
