An enduro MTB has a longer wheelbase and is best made for fast rides down the trails. It has extremely robust components which no stone or root can do damage easily. You can still ride it relatively comfortably up the slopes compared to a downhill bike. Canyon currently has 3 models in the range where each has its specific strengths.

With the Canyon CLLCTV Dainese Enduro Team they have their own squad that participates in the Enduro World Series. The knowledge gained is in turn passed on to the development department to become even a bit more efficient in the next year.
With an Enduro MTB you can shoot through the forest at full power, take the tightest turns and even jumps are easily mastered. It provides the necessary power on climbs and has the optimum control when it goes rapidly down the mountain. This is made possible by the extra suspension travel. The Enduro MTB is a good mix of efficiency, stability and control without you having to completely sacrifice comfort. Who wants to arrive at the end of his ride with completely compressed joints? Canyon distinguishes the enduro mountain bikes between 3 variants which have their subtleties or their strengths in certain areas of use.
- Canyon Strive: The Canyon Strive was built for racing. Back in 2014 it took its first win in the Enduro World Series and has always been in the upper field. In the process the pros have passed on their racing experience to the engineers for them to constantly optimize the bike and continue to do so to this day.
In collaboration with the EWS technicians they have developed a protection for the frame at Canyon. It shields against the adversities of the trail and also has a noise mitigating effect. The flatter steering angle gives the bike more stability as does the improved stiffness. This gives you the feeling of being in control of the bike at all times even at high speeds. Shapeshifter technology allows you to adjust the suspension for either climbs or rapid descents.
The Canyon Strive is available in multiple versions: Canyon Strive CF 7, Canyon Strive CF 8, Canyon Strive CFR or even Canyon Strive CFR Underdog. Earlier models include the Canyon Strive AL 6 as well as Canyon Strive AL 7.
- Canyon Torque: The bike brings you pleasure everywhere whether bike park or freeride. The Canyon Torque convinces with the larger rims and high speeds and lets the smaller wheels it lets you meander through the trails. With the Mullet bike which has two different wheel sizes you got the best of both worlds. It can be pushed at full speed through the bike park and you still have optimum control over the bike even in tricky sections. The Torque bikes are available as Canyon Torque CF, Canyon Torque AL or also as Canyon Torque CF CLLCTV FW.
With more suspension travel they master every trail no matter how challenging and also make every landing a pleasant experience. Depending on the variant you can either go fast down the mountain without the bumpy terrain causing problems or take one of the more nimble models for more agility. With the nimbler variants you can just let go and playfully fly over the obstacles. You can choose between bikes with a carbon or aluminum frame. If you prefer an E-MTB Canyon has the Torque:ON in its range.
- Canyon Spectral: The bike is available as Canyon Spectral CF or earlier versions as Canyon Spectral AL. It is a multifunctional trail bike which no task is too difficult be it arduous climbs or rapid descents. It overcomes roots as well as jumps with ease. You still achieve breathtaking speeds without ever losing confidence in the bike. For the friends of the electric drive for support Canyon offers the Spectral:ON. The Spectral:ON E-MTB is only available with a carbon frame unlike the Torque:ON e-bike. However it is almost as affordable as the aluminum-framed models.
History
Canyon is headquartered in Koblenz, Germany and was founded in 1985 by the Arnold brothers. However it took until 1996 when the first Canyon bike was launched. Even today a trailer of the Radsport Arnold GmbH can still be found in Canyon's showrooms. It motivates to keep the same momentum as in the early days to continuously produce successful bikes.

A component selection that is worth seeing
For the equipment of the enduro models Canyon paid utmost attention and chose top-class manufacturers: such as Shimano, SRAM, Magura, DT Swiss, Öhlins, RockShox, or Maxxis. In addition the innovative developments of Canyon are installed on the bikes. Together with the EWS team they constantly tweak to make them even a little better.
Groupsets / brakes / drive units

The groupsets are selected depending on the manufacturer as a set or also with an individual design. Canyon relies here on the components of Shimano and SRAM. Among them are the Shimano XTR, Shimano Deore XT and the SRAM GX Eagle or SRAM X01 Eagle along with other models.

Even for the disc brakes they mostly use the products of the two market giants. However on the Fabio Wibmer bike they use the excellent Magura disc brakes.

The motors from Bosch and Shimano provide the necessary support: no matter how steep the slope or how long you have been sitting on the saddle of your e-bike.
Shocks
- The full-suspension enduro MTBs have a chassis with suspension on the rear wheel as well as a suspension fork. In the rear they use the Fox FLOAT X2 Performance, Fox DHX2 Factory, Öhlins TTX22M or even the RockShox Superdeluxe Select+ RT shock. For the suspension fork they rely on the Fox 38 Factory, Fox 38 Performance Elite Series, Öhlins RXF38 as well as the RockShox ZEB Select+ among others.
Saddle / Seatpost / Handlebar & Stem

For the saddle products from Ergon and Fizik are used: such as the Ergon SM10 or also the Fizik Gravita Alpaca X5. For the seatpost Canyon products are mostly preferred like the G5 Adjustable Dropper Post.

Handlebars and stem are mainly from the Canyon G5 series. In combination with saddle and seatpost you can adjust them for the ideal seating position.
Wheels / Tires
- For the selection of wheels and tires the combination of DT Swiss and Maxxis is very common: the DT Swiss EX511 370LN in conjunction with the Maxxis Assegai or also the DT Swiss XMC with the Maxxis Dissector. You could almost think that the products of the two brands have entered into a symbiosis to provide the best possible driving experience.
Additional equipment
- Canyon's enduro mountain bikes have mounting options for water bottle cages including water bottle as well as enduro packs. The packs store everything you need for your trip without requiring larger storage options. Furthermore you can buy pedals, shirts, a helmet and other accessories.

Which of the Canyon Enduro bikes is best for me
Enduro bikes with model year 2022 are available in size S, size M or size L among others. If you are not quite sure about the frame size it is best to ask Canyon directly or our helpful buycycle team. In addition to the full suspension mountain bikes Canyon also has hardtails in their MTB range. Furthermore you will find road bikes, gravel bikes, e-bikes incl. E-MTB and city & trekking bikes from Canyon.
In the other MTB sections you will find trail bikes, cross-country bikes or downhill bikes in addition to enduro bikes. They also have e-mountain bikes, dirt jump bikes as well as fat bikes. The Youth MTB section is for kids and teens who want to let off steam in the mountains instead of on the road.
