This is a 2018 Giant Any Road bike. It is an XL bike, so you should be at least 6'0" to think about riding it comfortably.
This is a do it all sort of bike. It is light, so it can go fast like a road bike. It has plenty of mounts so it can go bike touring. It has space for wider tires so it can be a gravel bike hence its name: Any Road.
Now for more details. The drivetrain is Shimano 105. Shimano makes 3 drivetrains for "serious" cyclists. The 105, ultegra, and dura ace. The big difference between them is weight and durability. The 105 is the heaviest but also the most durable. How much heavier is 105 than dura ace? Maybe 150 grams or 5 ounces.
I have Marathon Pro tires on it. These have shielding in it to help guard against flats. I have ridden this bike in places where goatheads (a.k.a puncture vine) are common. The goathead seed it basically sharp spikes in all directions. The tire would pick up a goathead, but its spikes couldn't penetrate the additional shielding built into the tire, hence no flats. These are the tires for folks who HATE flats.
Why am I selling? I am building a dedicated gravel bike and once I finish building that bike, I won't need this bike. It's a great bike that deserves to be ridden. It is perfect for someone who really enjoys riding, and wants to ride on roads and gravel.
I also have racks and Ortlieb bags for this as well if you are interested in purchasing those as well.
