BRAND NEW DRIVETRAIN Built up as a gravel race bike for “ENDURO-CROSS” type races that often feature mixed road, gravel, single-track sectors as well as steep 18%+ climbs/decents. Examples: Belgian Waffle Ride Asheville NC, Vermont Overland, MONSTER CROSS Richmond VA, IRON CROSS Williamsport PA, TRAKA 200/100 Girona. Geared like a billy goat with elements of SRAM EAGLE mountain bike drive train it weighs as pictured 18.2Lb. The short wheelbase and compact geometry produce a remarkable ability to climb steep technical sections, maintain maximum agility threading through trees as well as offer extremely little compromise when making pace on asphalt. Rider photos are to illustrate fit with a 5’11” 69kilo rider. Probably the max size rider that could effectively race it. A smaller rider would find it well balanced also as a stable platform for races oriented towards more traditional “gravel grinders.” Frame set was purchased second hand by seller in 2021 ($1899) then completely stripped, unused cable routing ports closed, layer of 3k carbon weave added to the front of the down-tube and chain-stay as protection of S-WORKS high modulus FACT 11r carbon layup from flying rock impacts and potential chain slap/suck. Recoated with custom white “sand through” finish and a final 2 coats of satin 2k epoxy clear. (decals are under clear coat) All work performed by craftsman/artist with over 20 years experience in high performance watercraft/aviation composites. Please note: this frame has been raced and shows its pedigree. It is not a polished “bike room showpiece” it is an efficient and exact racing tool. Cleaned and inspected after every race. Full annual tear downs and inspection for structural damage. (NONE KNOWN) Complete frame up build immediately before listing including: Check and repack (if necessary) of all bearings. Strip and SILCA SUPER SECRET hot wax of new EAGLE XX1 chain. Will ship with bottle of SILCA SUPER SECRET drip wax. Brake rotors and pads checked, (within SRAM specs) hydraulics bled. Test and operational confirmation of QUARK power meter. Tubeless set up and sealant added to STANS Grail wheels, IRC tires and VITORIA GRAVEL inserts. Currently set up with IRC BOKEN DOUBLE CROSS tires. 38mm rear (measuring 40+) and 42mm front (measuring 43+) with PLENTY OF ROOM (see photos) frame could take larger if mud was not going to be an issue. New tape job with MASH SF “Binary” H-bar tape. “Enthusiastically” test ridden to confirm all good. Cleaned/packed will ship with one SRAM AXS battery and charger. Will ship in well used B&W hard travel case. (No charge for case. It is secure, but will need some work on the strapping before use in commercial air travel) Just put your pedals on, set seat height and H bar angle and go shred!
