To ensure standardization, the condition of each bike sold on buycycle must be stated by the seller. He is responsible for his assessment. If the bike arrives at the buyer in a different condition than declared, the buyer is entitled to a refund of his money.

On buycycle you can choose from the following states:

Very good

The bike looks new and is in mint mechanical condition. Frame and fork have no visible defects or damage. All components, parts and accessories are clean and free of visible defects or damage. No maintenance is required on any component, part or accessory. Tires and grips/handlebar tape are original and in pristine condition.

Perfect

Bike looks good, may have minimal cosmetic blemishes to frame, fork, components, parts and/or accessories. Bike may require minimal service adjustments with no parts to replace. Brake surfaces are clean with some signs of use, but free of scoring and pitting. The tires, grips/handlebar tape and brake pads may show signs of use but are still in good shape.

Very Good

The frame or fork or components or accessories have cosmetic blemishes. The frame (if metal) may have small, aesthetic dents. The paint is slightly faded and/or slightly discolored and scratched. The bike has no major mechanical problems, but may need maintenance; a tune-up is recommended. Some parts may need replacement, excluding wheels, shifters, front or rear derailleur, brake systems, crankset or chainrings. Parts that may need to be replaced include: Tires, tubes, grips/handlebar tape, brake pads, brake hoods, chain and cassette, brake cables, shift cables, all housings, brake fluid. Brake surfaces may have small grooves or discoloration. Brakes and gears may need service.

Good

The frame or fork or components or accessories have cosmetic blemishes. The frame (if metal) has small, aesthetic dents. The paint is slightly faded and/or slightly discolored and scratched. The bike has some mechanical issues and an overhaul is needed. An overhaul is recommended. Several parts need to be replaced. The gears and brakes need to be serviced.
