Are you looking for a bike for pure adrenaline on your downhill rides? Then you've come to the right place. Canyon offers you two technical refinements to meet your needs. The knowledge from several World Cup races flows into the development and manufacture of the bikes. Almost playfully you master large jumps and can virtually rush down the slope.
Canyon has 2 downhill MTB variants among the novelties, the Canyon Sender CFR and the Canyon Torque.
Not only has the carbon frame become even lighter, the Sender bikes also shine through the optimized geometry as well as suspension tuning. This in turn helps to better handling and the larger 29 inch wheels offer more comfort and smoothness. For more control over the Sender MTB the center of gravity is further down. The safe handling is extremely important because you need full confidence in your bike with the additional speed.
The frame is again 650 grams lighter with the promise that it is at least as stable as its predecessors. This guarantees that the MTB masters challenges even in the most difficult conditions such as the World Cup at full speed without any problems. Due to various options to adjust the bike as needed the Sender is more flexible than ever before.
To fit the bike more individually to your riding style or body size you can adjust the chain stay on the Sender CFR. This allows you to get through tight corners even more nippy or have more smoothness when you're on the road at high speeds. Furthermore the bearing shell can also be adjusted so that you can tune the bike even better. This is especially important if you are between 2 frame sizes. The Sender is available in several variants: Sender CFR Mullet Underdog, Sender CFR 29 TLD, Canyon Sender CF 9.0 or also as Canyon Sender CF.
The Torque is available as a 29 inch version and as a mullet as well as in the 27.5 inch variant. With the larger tires you have a better smoothness in high-speed races while the smaller wheels promise more maneuverability. Despite the large 29 inch tires the Torque 29 meanders with elegance even through challenging enduro trails. The mullet in turn is the perfect blend of both worlds: freely following the motto "business in the front, party in the back". The smaller tires on the rear wheel make the Torque even more agile while the large tire on the front wheel provides speed and the necessary control.
A Gravity machine like the Torque convinces with agility. It still achieves enormous speed and offers the best riding comfort in every situation. The Torque is an ideal enduro MTB that feels comfortable in the bike park and lively through any parkour. It reaches high speeds without much trouble. Through generous latitude in the suspension travel you master every jump no matter how big.
The Torque 29 inch is available in Big Bamboo and Exhaust Black colors, while there are the mullet and 27.5 inch bikes in Exhaust Black and Kurkuma Kingdom colors. If you think you're in good hands with a Torque there's a wide selection to choose from: Torque Mullet CF 8, Canyon Torque CF CLLCTV FW, Torque 29 AL 6 or even Torque 27.5 CF 9 along with other models.
The Torque:ON on the other hand is an e-mountain bike that masters even the steepest climbs. You arrive in top condition at the top and can repeat this several times until you are pleasurably exhausted.
Canyon bikes are all designed in Koblenz where the company's headquarter is located. With Fabien Barel they have a 3-time Downhill World Cup Champion on the Canyon Bicycles Factory Enduro team. The Canyon Downhill bikes have more travel than the Freeride and Enduro bikes for more control. Fabien Barel uses them regularly in the World Cup and with this knowledge the new bikes are then constantly improved.
Whether at the Sender or Torque MTB the respective models were equipped with the best possible parts per price range. Thus even at the entry-level model maximum driving fun is guaranteed. Renowned manufacturers such as Shimano, SRAM, RockShox, Fox, Öhlins, DT Swiss or even Magura are used. Furthermore the high-quality and innovative products from the Canyon research laboratory are also used. Through years of experience they have developed and improved these even further.
The full-suspension downhill bikes have a damper on the rear triangle as well as on the suspension fork. In the rear the FoxFloat X2 Factory, RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate or Öhlins TTX22M suspensions are used, among others. In the front, the Fox 40 Factory GRIP2, RockShox Boxxer Ultimate RC2 or Öhlins RXF38 suspension fork are used.
The Fox Float X2 Factory convinces with its high-class performance which proved its quality at the World Cup already. It is extremely robust and offers incidentally something for the eye with the golden coating.
Due to the large number of different categories it can often be confusing which bike you ultimately need. In the mountain bike sector alone where there are also hardtails in addition to the fullys, you have several categories. In addition to downhill bikes Canyon also has enduro bikes such as the Canyon Strive or trail bikes like the Grand Canyon. Furthermore you will find fat bikes, cross-country mountain bikes, dirt jump bikes and youth mountain bikes.
There are also plenty of Canyon bikes in the road bike category: as aero racing bikes, triathlon bikes, cyclocross bikes, race bikes such as the Ultimate CF SLX and endurance racing bikes. When it comes to gravel bikes Canyon has bikepacking, gravel racing and all-road bikes in its lineup. They perform just as well on the road as on forest or meadow trails.
