Whether you're on the cobblestones of France or the somewhat uneven roads of your favorite routes, you can always take advantage of the vibration-absorbing qualities of the new Roubaix Comp. The frame is the lightest we have ever made for this category, and it is built with FACT 10r carbon fiber. Very stiff and, compared to the SL4 version, a new geometry that is faster and more efficient. Through some high-engineering 'tricks', we have managed to maintain the same level of comfort that we have always loved about the SL4 frame. Of course you're thinking 'when are you going to tell me about that front suspension'? We called it Future Shock, and basically it's a piston inserted into the head tube, with 20mm of travel. We developed this technology in collaboration with McLaren Applied Technologies, and the result is a huge improvement in vibration absorption in the vertical plane. Without delving into the laws of physics, we felt that focusing on vibration absorption in the vertical plane rather than fork opening was the right method to improve comfort and speed in equal measure. Of all the bicycles we tested with our Rolling Efficiency protocol, the new Roubaix turns out to be the best. Finally, we have complemented the Roubaix Comp with quality components such as Ultegra gearing with an 11-speed 105 sprocket pack, hydraulic disc brakes, and durable DT R460 Disc wheels.
