The bike was fully cleaned up and greased:
- the cracked decals were removed gently,
- the clear coat was buffed to remove as much as possible the yellow tint caused by aging,
- the decals were replaced with the correct ones,
- the shifters mechanisms were cleaned and gear cables and lubed,
- the rear derailleur cable adjusting screw was replaced
- the brake pads, the shifter hoods, tires, and the handlebar tape were replaced,
- the chain was changed with a KMC 8-speed,
- the original cassette and crank rings were cleaned up and found to be in excellent shape.
