For sale is a TVT Carbon frame. These frame were made in France and were rebranded as Eclipse Carbon 7 for the US market.
The TVT Carbon bike were first used by the La vie Claire team when Greg LeMond won the Tour de France in 1986. This frame could be a nice project to create a replica of the different Carbon bikes of that era.
This frame is in good shape despite its age. The frame weighs 1.369 kg (3lbs) and comes with an aluminium vitus 979 fork (0.541g -1.2 lbs - $80 value)
The serial number (see pictures) reads: Tvt 110486. I assume the first part of the serial number is the date of manufacture.
The spacing for the front wheels is 100mm and 126mm for the back wheel.
The size of the bike is 57 cm center to center. The top tube measures 56cm.
The bike comes with a Campagnolo Headset ($80 value) and a Campagnolo 25.0 seatpost ($80 value) which is rare and specific to these early carbon frames.
