Swiss-Made Vintage Road Bike - Full Campagnolo/Campy Components (1973 Super Mondia Special)
This steel racing machine has been completely refurbished and looks/rides (almost) as good as it did when the hand-made build was completed. I don’t know the history, but I imagine that it won some races back in the day. The red lugged steel frame must be seen in person to really appreciate the craftsmanship that went into this high-end build.
Seat Tube: 57cm
Top Tube: 58.5cm
Standover Height: 82cm
I’ve ridden it on group rides, solo and even triathlons. It’s a head turner for sure - I don’t think I’ve ever ridden it without someone commenting on how good it looks or asking about it’s history.
Notable Changes from the Refurb: Brand new Brooks saddle, all cables and housing, hoods, bar tape, bottom bracket, tires, tubes and probably more that I’m forgetting.
Reach out with any questions or to see it. But don’t wait - I’ve priced this beauty to sell quickly as I’m out of space in my garage.
Included are vintage-looking Saddle Bag and Water Bottle Cage
Note: To suit my riding, I put a non-Campy crankset on with smaller chainrings (not pictured). Those are also included. If you stay with the Campy crankset/chainrings pictured, you will need a longer chain as I cut the existing chain short for the smaller chainrings I was using.
