I built this bike for my young son, I installed new: Suntour XCR air-oil fork with lockout, Shimano BL-MT501 disc brakes, Shimano M3050 center lock hubs, Shimano SM-RT54-S discs, 152mm cranks, saddle, aluminum handlebar, aluminum stem, Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires, inner tubes, and saddle.
All of this is still in near-new condition.
I installed used Shimano LX 9-speed shifter, chain, and cassette.
From the original bike, only the 6061 aluminum frame, the Shimano Altus derailleur, the rims, and the spokes remain.
My son grew very fast and barely used it.
