A beautifully designed flatmount brake mount with thru axle and a replaceable derailleur hanger are now standard. The latter is not always the case with Italian-made frames, but in my opinion it should be, in case the rear derailleur is no longer where it should be. The brake line is routed internally in the down tube for a tidy look, while the cables are still routed openly on the outside. update: For fans of electric shifting, the corresponding inputs and outputs can of course also be provided!
The frame is still built to order from Columbus HSS Spirit. The workmanship is not lumpen, the much more economical TIG welding is dispensed with and the tubes are joined using the fillet-brazed process. This is certainly no longer common in today's series production, although the organic look of the pipe connections still has its raison d'être.
By using rather bulky tubes under a tapered head tube on the main frame, a stiff front end is created that can be precisely maneuvered through tight corners at high speeds, but certainly still has the usual comfort of a steel frame, as the rear triangle is still a little compliant in the vertical direction. Just as you would expect from a frame made from our favorite material.
The frames are delivered with a contemporary interpretation of the paint finish of the Refin pro team active in the 90s. Naturally, this is also continued in the carbon fork with tapered steerer tube, which is not specified in more detail.
The whole thing is rounded off by the customary Italo engravings on the head tube, which are obviously painted again by hand at the very end. Although this is rarely, if ever, done perfectly, it perhaps underlines the character of the craftsmanship.
Or simply take the Italians at their word: MADE IN ITALY WITH KINDNESS
