I bought this bike for my wife (182cm), who is an absolute beginner. I wanted a small frame so that she could easily reach the ground with both feet. That is why I upgraded the front shock and the handlebars, and added a long dropper post. It is the perfect bike for a beginner: easy, simple, and everything is easy to handle. The dropper and shifter require very little finger strength to operate. The brakes are not so powerful that you would fly over the bars in a panic braking situation. The Formula Selva S is a lovely, compliant fork with 35mm stanchions and 160mm of travel to absorb mistakes...
