Bont Vapor G MTB shoes were ordered directly from Bont but they were delivered with a manufacturer/QA oversight. The right shoe is missing the factory stitching. The closure strap was simply held with glue. After a fitting session and prior to the heat molding process, I noticed the missing stitch. Bont immediately sent a new pair and told me to keep the Bont defect pair. A local cobbler was successful in the stitch; however, visually the cobbler ruined the look of the shoe.
