The Pogliaghi Italcorse is one of the last frames manufactured under the Pogliaghi name and was built after the takeover by BASSO. Sante Pogliaghi (1913–1998) was one of the most influential Italian frame builders and shaped the classic geometry of racing bike construction with his custom-made steel frames. Numerous later greats such as Colnago oriented themselves on his construction method, and professionals like Eddy Merckx rode his frames.
