I have a King headset spare from my MTB. It works and has the legendary serviceable bearings.
See pictures for various marks and scratches which are all internal and not visible when mounted on the frame. It has been moved between frames a few times and has marks on the cups from being hammered out. Always installed professionally with the correct press.
A new one will cost you about €240; this will do the same ;)
