The condition is excellent. The bike was purchased new in Albuquerque NM ridden in one criterium and on the road for a few weeks and then due to an injury it was put away and hung on the wall as art for the next 4 decades. There are some scratches where the tire pump was mounted and patina from age, but otherwise sparkles as new.
