STEP 2: CHECKING BOX & WHAT YOU NEED
Check what’s in the box and what extra tools you need.

  • What’s in the box*:

    • - Main bike box

    • - Support elements for the front & rear axle

    • - 2 wheel covers

    • - Accessory box

    • - 5 wraps for frame protection

    • *please note that some inlays may be different


    What you’ll need in addition:

    • - Scissors

    • - Tape

    • - Allen keys or pedal wrench

STEP 3: ASSEMBLING BOX & INLAYS
Learn how to assemble the box and inlays for safe bike packing.
BOX   

Take the buycycle box out of the transport box and unfold it. The pre-marked folding lines will guide you.

Secure the flaps to close the bottom of the box. Reinforce with tape to keep it firmly sealed.

FRONT AXLE HOLDER  

Take the cardboard sheet with holes and fold it into a cube, as shown in the picture.

Fold the two cardboard pieces in half.

Take the cardboard and fold it along the folding lines to form a U-shape.

Place the cardboard cube inside the rail and secure it using the two holders.

STEP 4: PREPARING THE BIKE
Learn how to disassemble your bike to prepare it for shipping. 
PEDALS & FRONT WHEEL   

Remove the pedals using an Allen key or pedal wrench, and store them in the accessory box.

Remove the front wheel. 

For disc brakes, cut a small piece of cardboard and use it as a spacer between the brakes.

Take the front axle holder and attach it securely to the front axle, as shown in the picture.

REAR WHEEL   

Change gears until the chain is on the smallest rear gear. Then remove the rear axle and wheel, and insert a brake spacer if you have disc brakes, just as you did before.

Mount the rear axle support. 

WHEEL PROTECTORS

The wheel protector with the hole goes on the back wheel with the cassette, and the other one on the front wheel.

Attach the wheel covers to the spokes. Protect the cassette with bubble wrap.

HANDLEBAR

Packing the bike is easier with the handlebar removed. Simply loosen the stem screws and rotate the handlebar 90 degrees.

Tape the loose handlebar securely to the frame. Avoid any rubbing and ensure the frame is protected.

FRAME

Wrap all frame parts with bubble wrap to protect them.

STEP 5: PACKING THE BIKE

Learn how to box the bike and secure it.

Place the bike into the box. 

Ensure that the front and rear axle supports are stabilizing the bike in the box and are firmly touching the box walls.

Lower the seatpost so it fits into the box. Do not use force. If it still doesn’t fit, remove the seatpost and wrap it separately.

Use the cardboard box that the packaging came in as a divider between the frame and other parts inside the box for extra protection.

Insert the wheels. Always place cardboard between the wheels and the frame, and make sure the cassette points away from the frame.

Place all accessories mentioned in the ad into the accessory box, and then put it inside the main box. Close the box using tape and thats it! 

Packaging Do's & Don'ts:

Kein direkter Kontakt zwischen Laufrädern, Rahmen oder Komponenten.

Dies kann Kratzer verursachen. Lege zusätzliches Polstermaterial zwischen Laufräder und Rahmen. Dies ist der häufigste Schaden beim Versand – je mehr Schutz, desto besser.

Schütze Gabel und Hinterbau vor Druck und Belastung.

Vermeide sperrige oder veränderte Kartons – keine Teile dürfen herausragen.

Verändere den Karton nicht.

Wenn dein Fahrrad nicht passt, kontaktiere unseren Support anstatt die Verpackung zu verändern.

Wichtige Hinweise:

Du bist für die ordnungsgemäße Verpackung verantwortlich.

Verwende zusätzliches Polstermaterial, wo nötig, und stelle sicher, dass das Fahrrad fest sitzt und keine Teile aneinanderstoßen.

Eine korrekte Verpackung verhindert Transportschäden und stellt sicher, dass deine Auszahlung nicht verzögert wird.

Du musst Fotos vom Verpackungsprozess hochladen, um das Versandlabel zu erhalten. Mache mindestens 3 Fotos der unverpackten Bestellung neben dem Verpackungsmaterial und 3 Fotos der verpackten Bestellung.
