How to pack your bike: Which box did you receive?
Congrats on selling your bike on buycycle! Now, there are two options to ship your bike. Depending on the packaging you have received, you can simply follow up the right tutorial. Donβt worry! It is super easy!

Option 1: you received the Bikeflights box
Efficient packing with Bikeflights bike box medium
The Bikeflights Bike Box Medium is perfect for most gravel and road bikes, offering cost-effective shipping solutions for both domestic and international destinations. Each box includes essential packing materials to ensure your bike arrives safely. For additional protection against cosmetic damage, consider wrapping your bike's tubes with cardboard sleeves or foam tubing (not included).

Option 2: you received 2 boxes from buycycle
Prepare the bike
- Use scissors and Allen keys.
- Remove pedals and set aside.
- Take off rear axle and rear wheel, reinsert axle.
- Remove front wheel, use disc brake spacer if needed.
- For road bikes
Loosen stem bolts, rotate handlebar to the side, tuck under top tube.
- For mountain bikes
Remove handlebar, secure screws.
- Assembly without a bike stand
Assemble the box first to lay your bike on.
Pack your bike
- Use fork support inlay between fork and axle.
- Prepare outer shipping box, fold and secure flaps.
- Crank Support
Assemble crank support, place under bike with crank facing up.
- Prepare Accessories
Wrap seatpost and rear derailleur in bubble wrap or newspaper.
- Frame Support
Assemble and secure under top tube with tape.
- Sidewalls
Use smaller pair for stability, tape inside the box.
- Top Half Assembly
Close and secure the top half of the box.
- Wheels Shipper
Assemble and insert wheels, use leftover sidewall for protection.
- Labeling
Use separate shipping labels for bike and wheels.
- Final Steps
Your bike is ready for pickup and shipping!
